Sue Karzis - new CEO | The Nappy Collective

Leading The Nappy Collective into the future

I’m Sue Karzis, and I’m incredibly proud to introduce myself as the new CEO at The Nappy Collective.

I’ve spent my career leading purpose-driven organisations, but joining The Nappy Collective feels especially meaningful. This organisation represents everything I value in leadership: clarity of mission, direct community impact and the ability to respond to real need with compassion and urgency.

The Nappy Collective is the only organisation in Australia solely focused on addressing nappy stress, a crisis affecting 1 in 10 families nationwide. For these families, access to something as basic as a clean nappy is not guaranteed. That kind of pressure has ripple effects on children’s health, parents’ mental wellbeing, access to childcare and employment. It's unacceptable, and it’s solvable.

Before joining The Nappy Collective, I served as CEO of State Schools’ Relief, where we delivered record levels of support to more than 94,000 disadvantaged students in a single year. I’ve also recently stepped into the role of Chair at the Lost Dogs’ Home, where I’m proud to lead an organisation dedicated to protecting and giving a voice to those who can’t always speak for themselves.

What unites all of my work is a firm belief that leadership is about showing up where it matters most and building systems that work for those who’ve been overlooked.

At The Nappy Collective, I'm surrounded by a dedicated, passionate team committed to real impact. Together, we're building a future where every baby and toddler in Australia has access to clean nappies, and every parent has one less burden to carry.

The need is growing, and the time to act is now. I’m ready to lead us forward with focus, urgency and heart.

Thank you for welcoming me to this important work. I look forward to working with our supporters, partners and communities to grow our reach and deepen our impact across the country.

Warmly,
Sue Karzis
