Clean Bums
for Little Ones

The Nappy Collective is Australia's only nappy charity. We collect and redistribute nappies to families in crisis — for free — through trusted frontline services across the country. Nappies are not optional. When families can't afford them, babies go without, and life stalls.

Right now across Australia, more than 34,000 families are struggling to afford nappies every month.

This is our biggest campaign of the year.

Our 2026 goal: Raise $100,000 and collect 500,000 nappies for Australian families.

Nappies tracking starts in week 2 when collections start to be counted.

Help us reach $100,000 by 31 May.

Nappy donations are essential. Financial donations keep them moving and help fill the gaps when demand spikes.

The need

Nappies are not optional.

Every parent knows the stress of a nappy rash starting, or the awful feeling of knowing their babies' nappies should be changed more often. For families in crisis, that stress escalates fast.

More than 34,000 families across Australia are struggling to afford nappies every month. The Nappy Collective distributes nappies to more than 850 frontline and emergency relief services nationwide so families can access them for free.

Babies' health

Without enough nappies, babies can be left in nappies longer than is safe or hygienic to do so, increasing the risk of rashes and infections.

Life stalls

  • Families can't access childcare, support services, or work.
  • Socialising becomes harder — isolation increases for parents and young children.
  • Parents skip meals to afford nappies for their babies.

Parent wellbeing

Nappy stress fuels worry, isolation and pressure — and the effects go deeper. Perinatal depression rates are significantly higher in mothers experiencing disadvantage. Poverty directly impacts maternal mental health. No parent should carry that alone.

How it works

We are the system that keeps nappies moving.

The Nappy Collective runs the national pipeline behind nappy relief, distributing nappies through trusted frontline services so families in crisis can access nappies for free.

Local donations support local families.

Nappies donated at collection points are collected by volunteers, sorted and repackaged, then delivered through local frontline services that families already rely on. Your local donation helps families in your area.

You can donate nappies at more than 900 collection points across Australia — including every Baby Bunting store nationwide.

Financial giving

Why financial donations matter.

Nappy donations are essential. But we can only meet demand at scale when the system behind those donations is funded. Cash keeps nappies moving through storage, sorting and transport, fills size gaps, supports remote delivery, and helps us respond quickly when demand spikes.

Funding helps us reduce the hidden cost of nappy stress. The guilt, worry and isolation parents feel when they can't change nappies as often as their baby needs.

What your donation funds

  • Keeping nappies moving: Storage, sorting and transport so donated nappies can reach the families who need them
  • Filling the gaps: Purchasing the sizes we don't receive enough of, especially larger sizes in the highest demand
  • Reaching more families: Delivering nappies to regional, remote and underserved communities where local donations can't meet the need

Since 2021, nappy donations have grown 900%, while fundraising income has grown 187%. Funding is how we keep the system running at the scale families need.
