Interview our Founder
The Nappy Collective was founded in 2013 by our chairman, Sandra Jacobs
'The idea started when I found six leftover nappies my daughter had outgrown. I was volunteering at a women's refuge at the time and knew how valuable the nappies would be in the immediate first instance to the women and babies arriving with just the clothing on their backs. I put a call out through social media to see if anyone else had leftover nappies to donate with me and the idea took off, six years later we now run collections in 66 towns across Australia, work with over 200 refuges and charities and have rescued and re-distributed just shy of 3 million nappies.
Sandra is a dynamic speaker who loves to share her journey of starting and growing an idea that is now impacting thousands of families across Australia.
Areas of expertise she’s able to talk on include:
The importance of thinking as a collective
Challenges and impact of nappy stress
Not-For-Profit start ups
Being a career mum
Having a growth mindset
